Eliminate the Euthanasia of Homeless Pets

Help us support Dallas Pets Alive, an organization that focuses on eliminating the euthanasia of dogs and cats around North Texas. Their approach involves helping high-risk animals that can be rescued from overpopulated shelters and from owners that do not have the means to take care of their pets. They have a PASS Program that works to “reduce owner surrender through Positive Alternatives to Shelter Surrender”. The organization also transports adoptable animals to its partners across the United States and Canada in order to clear up kennel space here in North Texas. Dallas Pets Alive’s goal is to spread awareness by challenging the views and stereotypes that our community holds against stray and rescued pets. Through our fundraiser, we hope to help the organization address these issues and promote animal well-being through your donations.

 

Our target audience consists of mainly North Texas residents as well as anyone who is passionate about animals and wants to support no-kill shelters. Our main goal is to help accumulate donations for Dallas Pets Alive and assist the non-profit organization in creating a safe and loving environment for pets in danger of losing their lives to shelters. This fundraiser will aim to alleviate some of the tension and rushing that these animal shelters go through when having to euthanize animals that have been there for “too long”. Through your donations, we can fund the organization’s goal to relocate, run temporary shelters, and support the fostering of pets. The fundraiser will also support the organization’s overall mission of providing treatment services for sick and wounded pets. Together with Dallas Pets Alive, we aim for the complete elimination of pet euthanasia in the North Texas area.

 

100% of the donations will go directly to Dallas Pets Alive to help provide aid and services to these animals. Our goal is $500, but we would love to exceed that limit. A thirty-five-dollar donation will provide one animal with a feline leukemia virus test, a fifty-dollar donation will cover the cost of one x-ray for an animal, a seventy-five-dollar donation will allow one animal to be spayed or neutered, and a one-hundred-dollar donation will provide all the needed vaccinations for one animal. These donations can be a specified one-time payment amount or individuals can choose to make their donation a recurring payment if they wish.
